Privacy policy

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Q-MER.CH collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use Q-MER.CH, QST Listing Workspace, QST Desktop, our website, our downloads, our support channels, and related services.

In this policy, "Q-MER.CH", "we", "us", and "our" refer to Q-MER.CH. "You" means the person, business, merchant, store, customer, or visitor using our website, products, services, software, downloads, documentation, or support.

QST Listing Workspace helps merchants review store product data, prepare marketplace-ready listing drafts, save preparation records, and download export files. The Shopify Admin app uses read-only product access for its main workflow and does not write product changes back to your Shopify catalogue.

QST Desktop is an optional Windows companion for merchants who want advanced local workflows. QST Listing Workspace can be used without installing QST Desktop.

Information We Collect From Website Visitors And Customers

When you visit Q-MER.CH, contact us, or buy something from us, we may collect:

  • device and browser information, such as browser version, IP address, time zone, cookie information, pages viewed, referring pages, search terms, and how you interact with the site
  • order and checkout information, such as name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, payment confirmation details, products purchased, and order history
  • customer support information, such as your email address, messages, screenshots, files you choose to send, and information needed to respond to your request
  • marketing and communication preferences, where you choose to provide them

Payment card details are processed by Shopify or payment providers. We do not need you to send full card numbers, passwords, API keys, recovery codes, or private access tokens through support channels.

Information QST Listing Workspace Processes

When a merchant installs or uses QST Listing Workspace, QST may process:

  • Shopify shop domain and app installation context
  • Shopify access tokens needed to authenticate the installed app
  • Shopify product data made available through the app's read_products scope, such as titles, descriptions, handles, vendors, product types, tags, statuses, images, variants, prices, SKUs, and inventory quantities
  • listing draft and export-preparation records created by the merchant
  • export activity records, such as export type, product count, filenames, and timestamps
  • app plan, subscription, trial, and billing status information received through Shopify billing or app installation context
  • optional desktop pairing codes, pairing status, and desktop pairing tokens
  • technical logs needed to operate, secure, monitor, and troubleshoot the app

QST Listing Workspace does not request Shopify customer, order, payment, fulfilment, or write-product scopes for the Shopify Admin app.

Information QST Desktop May Process

If you choose to use QST Desktop, the desktop app may process or store information on your Windows device, including:

  • local preferences and setup choices
  • desktop pairing tokens and connection settings
  • product caches and export working files
  • local listing drafts, image choices, and prepared listing files
  • diagnostic logs and error messages
  • optional marketplace credentials or OAuth tokens if you connect a marketplace account through QST Desktop

Optional eBay authentication is only used if you choose to connect eBay for a desktop workflow. The core Shopify Admin app review and export workflow does not require an eBay account.

Browser Local Storage

QST Listing Workspace may store some local draft edits, image choices, setup notes, or interface preferences in your browser local storage so your work can survive a refresh. This browser-local data is stored on the device and browser you are using.

You can clear browser-local QST draft data from the QST dashboard where controls are provided, or by clearing your browser storage for the app.

Legal Bases

Where UK GDPR, GDPR, or similar privacy laws apply, we process personal data under one or more of the following legal bases:

  • performance of a contract with you or your business

Our legitimate interests include operating and securing our website and software, providing support, improving reliability, preventing misuse, maintaining records, and developing QST features.

Retention

We keep information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide QST, maintain security, troubleshoot issues, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain business records.

When a merchant uninstalls QST Listing Workspace or requests deletion, we process the request according to Shopify's required app privacy workflow and applicable law.

Browser-local draft data remains in the merchant's browser until cleared by the merchant, by QST controls where provided, or by browser storage settings.

QST Desktop local files, exports, caches, preferences, and logs remain on the merchant's Windows device until deleted by the merchant, removed by app controls, or removed during uninstall where applicable.

International Transfers

We may process and store information in the United Kingdom and in other countries where Shopify, hosting providers, infrastructure providers, support providers, or other service providers operate.

Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections, platform terms, recognised adequacy decisions, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
